Goal: By June 2009 Evergreen will increase school climate (defined as: a place where all people feel honored and welcomed) as monitored and measured through the 9 Characteristics of Highly Effective Schools, exit polls, and the participation of families and staff in school activities.

- Provide an Ice Cream Social on August 28 where families and students meet their teachers and other school staff.
- Teachers will maintain a weekly/bi-monthly classroom newsletter and/or website
- Coffee With the Principal: Provide a meeting between the principal and parents once a month
- Parents in the Know: Provide parent education classes during the day
- Provide Love and Logic Parenting Classes consisting of 4 class sessions per term

Maintain a school that is welcoming to everyone

- Provide team building through a Staff Retreat on August 27, 2008
- Pilot a revised Mentor Program to include a small group of 3rd & 4th grade students in the goal setting program that is currently being used with 5th grade students
Implement Love and Logic training for new building staff
- Bullyproofing our school through bi-monthly curriculum presented to students by the school counselor.
- Celebrate student success through Awesome Eagle Awards
- Provide a Diversity/Tolerance Assembly in September/October that will be tied to the classroom curriculum on bullying/diversity
